5 O’Clock Club returns to Leeds on May 9 with House legends and Gospel vibes

Leeds’ favourite early evening club experience, The 5 O’Clock Club, continues its 2026 season on Saturday 9 May, bringing a stand out lineup to the city that blends classic house vibes with soulful gospel energy.
Headlining the night is Wayne Soul Avengerz, a luminary of the UK house scene whose career stretches back over three decades and who has been integral to the UK funky house movement.
As both DJ and producer, Wayne has worked with major labels including Ministry of Sound, Sony (BMG), Hed Kandi and Apollo, and his remix work has involved artists as diverse as Queen, Blondie, Marshall Jefferson, Lisa Lisa and Beyoncé, as well as recent acclaimed Trois Garçon remixes on tracks like Donna Allen’s “Serious”.
Joining him on the decks is Jaegerossa, another dynamic house act celebrated for electrifying DJ sets and uplifting disco productions.

The May night also features the much‑loved return of the Music House Gospel Choir, a 20 strong gospel choir performing a string of house hits, and whose performance at The 5 O’Clock Club in September 2025 was a highlight of the year.
A spokesperson said: "The 5 O’Clock Club format continues to offer world‑class dance music in an early‑evening setting at an unbeatable price.
"Tailored for Leeds’ over‑30s crowd who want unforgettable energy without the late hours, in Leeds’ most luxurious setting, , Saturday 9 May once again promises to be one of the standout nights of Leeds’ 2026 nightlife calendar."
