FIRST LOOK: The Light Unveils Its Wicked Pop-Up as the Film Hits Cinemas

Leeds is getting its first glimpse of Oz as The Light today unveils its Emerald City pop-up, created to celebrate the release of Wicked: For Good, which launched nationwide today. The centre has transformed its event space into a vibrant, immersive experience inspired by the newly released film.
Brand-new images released today show:
- A colourful Emerald City-themed installation outside Vue Cinema, complete with witch-hat fairground games.
- A vibrant Yellow Brick Road guiding visitors straight into Oz (and to the complimentary bar – tonight only).
- Shimmering balloons and a photo-ready moment for fans.
Running from today until Thursday 27th November, the installation gives visitors the chance to step into the world of Wicked: For Good right in the heart of Leeds.
To mark today’s launch, visitors stopping by between 4pm and 8pm will also be treated to goody bags and complimentary pink and green cocktails or soft drinks – the perfect pre-film celebration while supplies last.
Stephanie James, Marketing Manager at The Light, said: “We’re excited to share this first look at our Emerald City transformation. We wanted to give Leeds something truly magical to celebrate today’s release of Wicked: For Good. Whether you’re team Glinda or team Elphaba, this is your chance to step into Oz before you even reach the cinema doors.”
Visitors can make a full night of it with a range of restaurants just steps away from Vue, including Prezzo, Zizzi and Estabulo.
