The Swine is inviting guests to raise a dram and settle in for a proper Burns Night supper on Sunday 25 January, bringing the comfort, generosity and bold flavours of Scotland to the heart of Leeds.

Inspired by co-owner Jo Myer’s Scottish roots and lifelong love of her homeland’s food and flavours, the one-night-only menu is a heartfelt tribute to Scotland’s finest ingredients, time-honoured dishes and comforting winter cooking all delivered The Swine way: creatively and within a cosy, feels-like-home, neighbourhood bistro setting.

Jo Myers, co-owner of the Swine Bistro, said: ‘January can be drab and dreary, can’t it, so we want to give everybody something to look forward to now. Our Burns Night celebration is the perfect excuse for a good night out with proper grub, good company and a touch of whisky-fuelled indulgence. We can’t wait to welcome you.’

The evening begins with a Mushroom and Whisky Parfait served with stout bread, followed by Rarebit Mussels with Black Pudding and Celery Salad. Guests can also enjoy Scottish Girolles with Crowdie and Pappardelle, showcasing the depth and richness of Scotland’s larder.

At the heart of the menu is a classic Swine Haggis with Neeps and Tatties, with a vegetarian Haggis also available. A side of Seaweed Buttered Cabbage adds a subtle coastal note to the feast.

For those with room for something more, there’s an optional supplemented Scottish Cheese and Clootie Dumpling, followed by the traditional Tipsy Laird – the Scottish take on trifle and a fittingly indulgent finale.

Burns Night at The Swine promises all that we’ve come to love of The Swine in its new grown-up location in Headingley, an intimate, flavour-led celebration of Scottish food and culture, rooted in personal heritage.
