Yorkshire gamers partner with Leeds mental health charity to ‘Get Together Through Gaming’

Leeds Mind, local mental health charity, is bringing back its virtual fundraising event Get Together Through Gaming for its fourth year of “feel-good gaming”, raising money for mental health services in Leeds and West Yorkshire.
Created in collaboration with Leeds-based design and development agency Few and Far, Get Together Through Gaming sees streamers come together to play, chat and talk all things mental health.
Taking place from March 13-15, this weekend event is putting the spotlight on the power that gaming and the online community has for wellbeing.
Participants will challenge themselves in various gaming feats across a range of well-loved games, whether that's completing a game as quickly as possible or avoiding enemy hits. Viewers can support by donating directly on the stream.

Get Together Through Gaming highlights how gaming can have a positive impact on mental wellbeing by providing opportunities to relax and unwind, learn and develop new skills, and connect with others in the community.
Marie-Louise Robinson, Corporate and Events Fundraiser at Leeds Mind, shared: “Unlike others in the Leeds Mind team, I’m new to gaming, but in the lead-up to Get Together Through Gaming I’ve been blown away by the gaming community and the ways it builds connection and supports mental health.
"There really is something for everyone, and if you are unsure if this community event is for you – it absolutely is! Everyone is welcome.
“We are deeply grateful to all who have supported this event, from our partners and key sponsor, Few and Far,to our generous main sponsor, Social Sync - a supporter experience platform that helps charities provide world-class fundraiser engagement.
"A huge thank you also to our new and returning sponsors, Adarak, Piglin Host, MadeBy.Studio and Mozzafella - not to mention the amazing streamers, viewers, and donors who make it all happen!”
Colin Grist, Co-founder and Creative Director of Few and Far, added: “We launched Get Together Through Gaming back in 2023 to connect with a younger audience of gamers and raise awareness about mental health.
"Through these communities, we’ve created a space where mental health discussions are encouraged and supported without judgement.
“For anyone wanting to watch, you can just head over togttg.stream to tune in - no log in required! We invite you to join us for a weekend of fun, friends, emojis, and games while raising awareness about the importance of mental wellbeing.”
