A premium fashion brand is betting big on Leeds’ appetite for sharp tailoring, as Cavani unveils its largest store yet in the heart of the city centre.
Newly rebranded label Cavani (formerly known as House of Cavani) has opened a 3,000 sq ft flagship on Vicar Lane, placing it among Leeds’ most upmarket retail destinations.
Positioned between the Victoria Gate and Victoria Quarter shopping areas, and just moments from the Ivy restaurant and John Lewis, the store is hoping to attract style-conscious shoppers looking for occasionwear and everyday staples with a tailored edge.
Cavani’s Leeds debut also coincides with a wider rebrand aimed at modernising its image while keeping its signature Italian-inspired aesthetic.

Housed within the Grade I listed Kirkgate Market Buildings, the former Boots unit has been transformed with dark wood finishes, warm lighting and curated displays that highlight the brand’s craftsmanship.
The move is also a vote of confidence in Leeds’ retail scene, and seven new jobs have been created, spanning sales roles and management positions, as the company invests in what it sees as a thriving menswear market.
According to store manager Houssem Chatal, local customers are already showing strong interest, with demand for both formalwear and wardrobe updates. Cavani now operates 19 stores across the UK, with further openings expected in 2026.
