Whether you’re hosting a roast, picking up picnic supplies or scrambling for last‑minute baking ingredients, the one thing you don’t want on Good Friday is a locked door.

Bank holiday weekends often mean reduced or changed opening hours for UK supermarkets, and Easter is no different.

To help you avoid disappointment, especially if you’re heading out to stock up on hot cross buns or Easter treats, we’ve rounded up the key opening times for major supermarket chains from Good Friday through to Easter Monday.

Do be aware that hours can vary by individual store, particularly smaller convenience branches, so it’s always worth checking your local shop’s hours online before you set off.
