A popular pub in Morley Bottoms has announced its closure.

Station Hop, located on Station Road, Morley, joined with Kirkstall Brewery in 2022, serving Cask Ales, Hand Pull Ciders and Craft beer as well as Wines, Spirits and Cocktails.

The news was met with widespread disappointment and sadness as punters took to the comments section to express their shock.

Posting to Facebook, the Station Hop team said: “Our time at The Station Hop has sadly come to an end. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the venue during our time here, we have truly valued your custom and the community as a whole.

“We’d also like to say a very special thank you to our incredible team for all their hard work, dedication and passion. They have been at the heart of everything we’ve done here, and we couldn’t have done it without them.”

Other Kirkstall Brewery-run sites, including The Tetley in Leeds city centre remain open, and their beers will continue to pour at other venues across Morley.

No announcement has been made at this stage on whether there are plans to sell or lease the now vacant building.

Kirkstall Brewery has been approached for comment.
