Pretty Green: Clothing brand founded by Oasis singer Liam Gallagher closes store in Leeds city centre

Liam Gallagher’s clothing brand is the latest high street store to close its doors in Leeds.

Yet another venue now sits empty in Leeds city centre as Pretty Green shut its doors for the final time this week.

The brand was founded by Britpop icon and former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher in 2009, and was named after a track by The Jam.

It re-opened on King Edward Street just off Briggate in September 2022 after a major refurbishment, and was at the time Victoria Quarter’s largest store.

Pretty Green announced it would close down in Leeds on its social media accounts back in May, but never revealed an exact date.

The store has now been emptied, joining a list of stores in Leeds closing in the last 12 months - including Ted Baker and Matalan.
