Take fine-dining Thai food home as Chaopraya launches new delivery and collection menu

A fine dining restaurant in Leeds is bringing tastes of Thailand to your own home as it launches a delivery and collection menu.

Chaophraya, on Swinegate in the city centre, chose not to follow many competitors into delivery and take-away ventures during the first coronavirus lockdown, but with a recent second one and Leeds now in Tier 3, which has forced the hospitality sector to close its doors, the restaurant has spent the last few weeks coming up with the best way to deliver its extravagant dishes to your door.

A refined version of the restaurant's extravagant menu has been created, with some of the most popular dishes, and made available for delivery with Deliveroo or collection from the restaurant.

Tuck into the classic starter selection of Thai chicken tacos, chicken spring rolls, red curry battered prawns, chicken satay and crispy duck salad; Thai fishcakes or a Papaya salad. Main courses include chicken or prawn stirfrys, Thai green and red curries and even a dish that is served to the Thai Royal family. The Royal Massaman curry is a dish of caramelised slow cooked lamb, with home-style massaman curry, coconut milk, carrots and potatoes topped with crispy shallots and cashew nuts.

Pad Thai dishes are also on the take-out menu as well as a selection of steamed, sticky and coconut rice sides.

There is currently 25 per cent off collection orders which can be placed between 4pm and 8.30pm Monday to Thursday and 2pm and 9.30pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Ian Leigh, managing director said Chaophraya didn't want to compromise the fine-dining quality of its food but had decided to consider take-out options with on-going coronavirus restrictions making reopening dates uncertain.
