German Doner Kebab to open new restaurant at popular Leeds service station
German Doner Kebab (GDK) is opening a new restaurant at Skelton Lake Services in Leeds this winter.
The move is expected to create around 30 local jobs in both the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
The Skelton Lake site will be GDK’s fifth motorway restaurant with Extra MSA, following the chain’s 150th UK opening and third Leeds restaurant back in October.

Simon Wallis, GDK CEO, said the location is a "fantastic" one, welcoming a wide range of customers daily. He called the opening "an exciting opportunity for us to connect with a wide mix of customers on the move while introducing them to Kebabs. Done Right."
He also highlighted that the Leeds opening reflects the "continued momentum behind GDK’s growth across the UK," especially their expanding presence in service stations.
Extra MSA CEO Tom Dobson added: “The opening of German Doner Kebab at Leeds Skelton Lake is an exciting milestone for our partnership together. It’s the fifth GDK we’ve introduced across our estate, and it strengthens an already diverse line-up of food and drink brands that our customers know and love.
“We’re committed to offering choices that reflect different tastes and dietary needs, and GDK is a great fit for that vision.”
The new German Doner Kebab Skelton Lake Services will officially open in December 2025.
