A major refurbishment programme worth £750,000 has been completed at the Leeds Bradford Airport Industrial Estate, where a 90,000 sq ft industrial unit is now being marketed to prospective tenants.

The works have included upgraded office accommodation, new LED lighting, improvements to the building’s external appearance, and resurfacing of the yard. The changes are intended to improve traffic flow across the site and reduce ongoing maintenance costs.

Agents Carter Towler and Knight Frank have been appointed to secure a new occupier for the unit.

Hazel Cooper of Carter Towler said the refurbishment had significantly improved the building’s appeal. She described it as a “high-bay facility” suitable for logistics, manufacturing or warehousing, particularly for occupiers looking for a well-located unit with flexible lease terms.

The wider estate covers around 1.25 million sq ft of industrial and distribution space across a 60-acre site. It comprises 16 units and is home to occupiers including APCOA, VPK Packaging, Jet2, VLT Logistics and Rarter Bond.

More recently, Sigma Retail Solutions Ltd has taken 35,000 sq ft of warehouse space on the estate.

Iain McPhail of Knight Frank said the site’s location next to Leeds Bradford Airport gave it strong regional and national connectivity.

He said: “This is a strategically positioned site adjacent to Leeds Bradford International Airport, offering excellent connectivity across the region and beyond.

“The estate also benefits from a rich industrial heritage, having played an important role in supporting Britain’s aviation and military capabilities during the Second World War. That legacy, combined with ongoing investment and its prime location, makes this a highly attractive opportunity for occupiers.”
