Take a sneak peek into the new LEGO Superstore at Trinity Leeds the evening before it opens to the public

Before the ribbon-cutting ceremony this week, the Yorkshire Evening Post was invited for a sneaky look around the brand new LEGO Superstore at Trinity Leeds.

Everything is officially awesome! After months of anticipation and some very clever window vinyls, the brand-new LEGO Superstore at Trinity Leeds is finally ready to welcome the master builders of Yorkshire.

We were granted exclusive access for a sneak peek inside the store this afternoon (April 22), just hours before the ribbon-cutting on Thursday at 9am - just a mere three doors down from their original location.

The scale of the new 456sq m flagship site is truly something to behold; it's significantly larger than its predecessor and packed with features that prove it’s much more than just a shop.

From massive 3D models that pay homage to Yorkshire's own history to the rows upon rows of those iconic yellow boxes, it’s a bright, brick-filled paradise right in the heart of the city.

Check out our gallery below to see the incredible custom builds you won't find anywhere else, including a special ‘I Heart LEGO Store Leeds’ tile, and discover which famous Yorkshire landmarks have been painstakingly recreated with thousands of tiny plastic bricks.
