A Leeds bar in the heart of the city has announced closure.

Arc Inspirations has confirmed the closure of Manahatta, on Merrion Street, which served its last customers on Saturday (June 16).

A spokesperson for Arc Inspirations said: “We’ve loved running Manahatta Merrion Street and being part of the local community, however after careful consideration, we took the decision to sell to NQ64 after receiving an attractive offer.

“All jobs have been protected, and we wish NQ64 every success in the future. We’re committed to continuing to grow our business and have ambitious plans to operate 50 bars by 2030.”

The new NQ64 venue can host 250 people indoors and will feature an outdoor seating area, a private loft space and bookable areas throughout the venue.

Arc Inspirations is a Leeds-based company that also operates sports bar chain Box and cocktail bar and kitchen Banyan. It first launched in 1999 and currently operates 18 venues across the country.
