Mum-and-daughter duo open new dog play centre and pet superstore to 'incredible' response
It now boasts a much larger unit
Wakefield is now home to a new pet superstore and a bespoke dog play centre, providing a comprehensive hub for local pet owners.
Nell’s Natural Raw Food officially opened its expanded premises and the adjacent Four Paws Dog Play Centre on Saturday, October 3.
Located at Unit 22 Headway Business Park on Denby Dale Road, the new superstore boasts a significantly larger footprint and a broader selection of products compared to its predecessor.

Owners Katie Harding, and daughter Jessica, are not new to the pet industry having opened up their first pet shop in Wakefield five years ago which has proved to be a huge success.
The new superstore at Unit 22 Headway Business Park on Denby Dale Road, is much larger and offers a much wider range.
Katie said: “We’ve got lots of different types of wet food and dry food for cats and dogs and we branching out into other animals as well.
“So, we’ve now got live food for snakes and tarantulas as well as food and equipment for small animals like hamsters.
“Four Paws was always something we wanted to do, but, the opportunity never quite came along.

“When the Happy Days play centre became available we knew we’d found the perfect place.
She added: “Each booking at Four Paws is for a 45-minute private play session, giving your dog plenty of time to explore, sniff, run, play and enjoy the space.
“The indoor play centre is £25 for each 45-minute session which includes up to two dogs and the outdoor area is £20 for 45 minutes, with both together priced at £40.
“It is then £2 per additional dog, up to a maximum of 10 dogs.”

Following opening day, Katie said: “What an absolutely incredible day celebrating the opening of Nell’s Natural Raw Foods mega store and Four Paws Dog Play Centre!
"Seeing the new shop full of familiar faces from our old store, alongside so many new faces (and lots of four-legged ones), was honestly the best feeling.
“After everything that’s gone into creating this new space, seeing everyone walking around, exploring, shopping, chatting, enjoying the play centre and genuinely loving what we’ve created made every bit of it worthwhile”.
