Primark signs goes up as retailer prepares for major new opening in Wakefield
The shop is one step closer to opening
Preparations for Primark’s relocation in Wakefield are progressing, as new signs have been installed at its soon-to-open Trinity Walk store.
The move comes after the retailer announced plans to leave its current site in The Ridings, which faces proposed demolition.
Primark’s new premises will occupy 30,000 square feet on a single floor, situated beneath the recently opened Tenpin entertainment venue in the former Debenhams unit.

All 70 members of the existing Wakefield Primark team, including nine managers, are expected to transfer to the new location.
James White, centre manager at Trinity Walk, described the arrival of Primark as a significant development for the shopping centre, joining Tenpin in one of its largest units.
Since early 2022, Trinity Walk has welcomed more than 20 new additions, with Primark set to further enhance the centre’s retail offering.
While the official opening date for the new Primark store has yet to be confirmed, further updates are anticipated in the near future.
