Aldi has released a list of towns and cities across the UK where it hopes to build new stores, including five locations in Leeds.
The German supermarket chain has identified 160 “priority locations” as part of its latest expansion drive.
Within Leeds, Aldi has named Horsforth, Headingley, Otley, Pudsey, and Roundhay as possible future destinations for the supermarket.

The retailer already has eight stores within the city in areas such as Burley, Chapel Allerton, and Yeadon.
Suitable sites must be able to accommodate a 18,000-20,000 sq ft store and 100+ dedicated parking spaces.
They must also have “good visibility and access” from main roads and be a minimum of 1.5km from an existing Aldi or potential location.
Aldi is the UK’s fourth-largest supermarket chain with over 1,080 UK stores.
The brand is investing over £370m into new locations as it hopes to expand to 1,500 sites across the UK.
