A longstanding Leeds cafe has hit the market, as the owner is retiring.

According to agents Ernest Wilson, the business has a weekly turnover of £4,800 and currently generates an adjusted net profit of £23,685.

It seats around 18 people inside, as well as offering takeaways - and three outdoor tables for al fresco seating.

To the rear of the building, there is a fully-equipped kitchen and an additional storage and food preparation space on the lower ground floor.

Ernest Wilson said the listing was an “excellent opportunity” for a new operator to build on the cafe’s “solid foundation”.

The agents added: “There is strong potential to expand revenue streams through services such as funeral teas, which are in steady demand locally, as well as telephone orders for deliveries and catering for nearby offices with business lunches.

“These avenues remain underexploited and could significantly enhance turnover with minimal additional investment.

“Overall, this is an ideal acquisition for an owner-operator or couple seeking a manageable cafe with growth potential in a busy and well-supported location.”
