Ms Eco Pageants UK to Carry Baton of Hope at British Steel as part of UK-wide suicide prevention tour
On September 15, Charlotte Lister, current Ms Eco Pageants UK, will proudly carry the Baton of Hope at British Steel in Scunthorpe as part of the national Baton of Hope 2025 Tour, the UK’s largest ever suicide prevention initiative.
The Baton of Hope is more than just a symbol it's a powerful movement designed to spark vital conversations about suicide, mental health, and hope. The baton is travelling across the country, stopping at major cities, workplaces, and community landmarks to shine a light on the changes needed to save lives and support those struggling.
Charlotte was selected to carry the baton in recognition of her passionate advocacy and fundraising for mental health causes. As Ms Eco Pageants UK, Charlotte has used her platform to raise over £3,000 for Samaritans and has supported Doncaster Mind at numerous awareness and community events.
“It’s an incredible honour to carry the Baton of Hope at British Steel,” said Charlotte. “This cause is incredibly close to my heart. I’ve seen first hand the importance of mental health support and the need to reduce stigma around suicide. Through my work with Samaritans, Doncaster Mind, and the pageant community, I hope to continue encouraging open conversations and reminding people that they are never alone.”

Charlotte’s commitment to community impact and wellbeing extends beyond the sash. Her involvement in the Baton of Hope aligns with her broader mission to use her voice, title, and lived experiences to make a difference in the lives of others.
The tour aims to build a lasting legacy, encouraging better mental health education, stronger workplace policies, and accessible local support for those at risk of suicide.
