I’m a Celebrity 2026: Huge Leeds star rumoured to be in cast of I'm a Celeb this year - latest rumours

I predict a riot if this rumour turns out not to be true!

After months of gloriously warm weather, a chill has started to creep into the air and you can feel autumn fast approaching.

Before you know it the leaves will be falling from the trees and attention will start to turn to Christmas. However, nothing quite says the end of a year is approaching quite like the return of ITV’s I’m a Celebrity…. Get Me Out of Here.

The iconic reality series will be back for its 26th series in the coming months and already the rumours about who could be entering the jungle have started. A start date has yet to be confirmed, but the broadcaster usually waits until it is about to begin before revealing that.

One of the names already being rumoured for the 2026 version of I’m a Celeb is one of Leeds’ most famous sons - at least in the 21st century. Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson is reportedly set to be in the cast of this year’s edition, according to TV Zone UK.

Despite being most famous for his performances on the arena stages, the singer is no stranger to the TV screen. He was previously one of the coaches on The Voice UK for three series, before exiting after season five.

Ricky Wilson has also appeared on shows like The Grand Tour, during the days when Jeremy Clarkson and co presented it. He has also competed on The Masked Singer, coming in second behind fellow singer Charlie Simpson back in 2023.

The full list of names currently being rumoured for I’m a Celebrity 2026 is:

  • Gavin & Stacey star Joanna Page
  • TV presenter AJ Odudu
  • The Kaiser Chief frontman Ricky Wilson
  • Former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson
  • Paralympian and TV presenter Ade Adepitan
  • Radio host and podcaster Chloe Burrows
  • Singer Su-Elise Nash
  • YouTuber Sharmarke Mohamud (aka Sharky)

Earlier in 2026, ITV announced a new I’m a Celeb spin-off which will be filmed in the wilderness of Canada instead of the jungles of Australia or in South Africa. Titled I’m A Celebrity… The Wild Frontier, the series will feature a new format.

It will be hosted by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly and will feature a twist – celebrities competing in pairs.

McPartlin has teased the new series will feature “lots of twists and surprises”.

His co-host added: “We’re also making sure to retain some of the elements that we know viewers love from the Australian series. Buckle up, it’s going to be brilliant.’

In a teaser trailer for the series the pair stand in front of a mountain in a forest before asking viewers to guess where they are.

“No, it’s not Centre Parcs… we’re in Canada,” McPartlin says.

After explaining how they are set to film a new I’m A Celebrity spin-off, his co-host adds: “It’s a brand-new show with an exciting new format, loads of new trials and challenges, and we cannot wait to bring it to you.”

McPartlin then reveals the “twist” about the campmates competing in pairs.

“They better be ready, because out here in the Canadian wilderness, danger lurks around every corner. One word – bears!” he adds.

Donnelly then confirms I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! will still go ahead as normal, and they would “see you back in Australia later in the year”.

Set in Canada, I’m A Celebrity… The Wild Frontier will feature celebrities competing as pairs alongside relatives, loved ones or even fellow celebrities.
