The hit streaming series is about to return for its sixth season, having only originally premiered back in 2022. Fans can barely blink before the beloved programme is making its highly anticipated return.
In a surprising announcement, Slow Horses has been renewed through to season eight. So, Jackson Lamb and co aren’t going anywhere soon!
Apple TV teases: “This darkly funny espionage drama follows a team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5 due to their career-ending mistakes.
“Led by their brilliant but irascible leader, the notorious Jackson Lamb (Academy Award winner Sir Gary Oldman), they navigate the espionage world’s smoke and mirrors to defend England from sinister forces.”

When does Slow Horses start again?
In a world of TV shows taking years upon years to return for brand news seasons, Slow Horses has certainly bucked that trend. Originally debuting back in 2022, it is returning for its sixth season - just over four years later.
The show is set to return on Wednesday, September 16 and will once again be airing weekly on Apple TV. Fans can expect six more episodes as Jackson Lamb and his merry band of misfits face down another major threat.
Offering a brief tease, the streamer said: “Season six sees the Slow Horses on the run as Diana Taverner embroils them all in a fatally high-stakes game of retaliation and revenge.”
What time is Slow Horses season six out?
Once again, the show will be following Apple TV’s traditional release schedule of dropping episodes weekly. Starting on September 16, new episodes will be available at 8am British time - which is 12am PT or 3am ET in America - each Wednesday.
Slow Horses season six is due to run through to October 21. Meaning this spooky season has a big treat - and no trick - waiting for viewers.
Who is in the cast of Slow Horses?
A surprise familiar face will be making a shock return to Slow Horses in its latest season. House of the Dragon star Olivia Cooke, who was part of the cast for the first series, is back as Sid Baker.
