With the start of the 2026 GCSE season just over five weeks away, students across Leeds will be studying hard ahead of sitting their big exams.
Most students take between eight and 10 GCSE subjects, including the compulsory core subjects of maths, English and science, and each year, following the end of the GCSE season, the Department of Education produces a league table showing the performance of every secondary school across the country.
Using this data, the Yorkshire Evening Post has compiled a list of the 18 best-rated Leeds secondary schools who had over 20 per cent of pupils entering for biology, chemistry and physics at end of key stage 4 in 2025.
