Here are the eight best Leeds nurseries for behaviour as ranked by Ofsted in 2026 so far.
Under Ofsted’s new scoring system, one-word grades have been replaced with a colour-coded “traffic light” report card, split into six sub-categories: inclusion, achievement, behaviour, attitudes and establishing routines, children's welfare and wellbeing, curriculum and teaching, inclusion, and leadership and governance.
They are then rated either Exceptional, Strong standard, Expected standard, Needs attention and Urgent improvement.
Using these rankings, the Yorkshire Evening Post has compiled a list of the eight Leeds nurseries that have scored an ‘Expected standard’ or better rating for behaviour, attitudes and establishing routines during full Ofsted inspections published in 2026 so far.
