'Exceptional performance': Leeds university named best in the UK for student experience
The university has been praised for its ‘sustained excellence’
Leeds Trinity University has been named University of the Year for Student Experience in the 2027 Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide.
The university has received the national award in recognition of its student experience, teaching and support.
The guide's authors praised Leeds Trinity for its "exceptional performance, academic vision, and sustained excellence during a transformative era for higher education".

The award comes after Leeds Trinity was ranked the top university in the country for overall student satisfaction in the latest National Student Survey (NSS), which is based on feedback from students.
Professor Charles Egbu, Vice-Chancellor of Leeds Trinity University, said he was "incredibly proud" of the university's latest recognition.
He said: "Being named University of the Year proves that our work makes a real impact.
"Everyone at Leeds Trinity works extremely hard to ensure every student is a name, not a number, and has the opportunity to thrive and realise their true potential."
The university is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, having been founded in 1966 as two teacher training colleges.

Professor Egbu said its focus on career-led education and professional placements was an important part of its offer to students.
He added: "Work placements have been part of our degree programmes since 1975 and this real-world experience and professional placements is a big reason why we have a reputation for producing highly employable graduates."
The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2027 uses the latest data to assess universities across the UK.
The guide includes information on areas including research, facilities, scholarships, student support and nightlife, alongside university rankings and profiles.
Leeds Trinity University said the award comes as it continues to mark six decades of higher education in Leeds.
