Top-rated nursery provider to open second Leeds site in Headingley
A top-rated nursery provider has announced the opening of its second site in Leeds.
Cub, the modern nursery group known for its inspirational learning environments and outstanding Ofsted result, has announced the opening of its second location in Headingley.
The new site will offer spaces for up to 80 children and will join the flagship nursery in Wetherby in serving families in Leeds with exceptional early years education.

Cub unites a team of passionate educators, led by founder Eleanor Thompson, who has worked in the sector for almost 20 years in roles across the UK such as Nursery Manager, Ofsted inspector, an Early Years Consultant and Trainer.
Ms Thompson said: “Childcare has understandably been prominent on the news agenda as families struggle to balance work, life, and rising costs. However, Cub is pioneering a different approach and attitude.
“Cub is proud to meet the growing demand for high‑quality childcare. This provision is not a luxury, but an essential for parents. Headingley's doors are open to families are invited to visit the nursery to experience the change for themselves.”
Setting them apart from other nurseries, Cub do more than provide childcare. They go above‑and‑beyond to support the whole family by delivering concierge-style services, a co-working space, and a wellness studio.
Caring deeply about each child placed in their care, their curriculum promotes healthy eating, sequential play, creativity, and outdoor exploration.
The Wetherby nursery, rated as outstanding by Ofsted in July 2025, boasts a forest school and a full waiting list to reflect the demand for high-quality early years education.
