Organised through St Gemma’s hospice, the event sees those taking part in the weekly 5km run at parks across Leeds dress up as Santa Clause and other Christmas characters to raise money and awareness for the local charity.
Among those taking part this morning (Saturday) at Roundhay Park was Charlotte Knight, who began fundraising last week after visiting her sister-in-law at the hospice.
She said: “I started a Just Giving page and I’ve been amazed to have received over £400 so far.”
She said that this morning’s event was “brilliant”, adding: “There was a lot of people taking part and supporting so there was a lot of organising but they did a great job.”
