Patients across West Yorkshire have shed light on their experience of their GP practice in the latest GP Patient Survey, produced by Ipsos on behalf of NHS England.
More than 700,000 patients in England completed the 2025 survey, which was carried out between January and March last year, with the results of the 2026 survey expected this July.
It gathers information on how patients feel about their local surgery, asking a range of questions, including how easy or difficult it is to contact their practice, the quality of care, and their experience with NHS services when the GP practice is closed. It also includes questions about patient experiences of NHS dental and pharmacy services.
The results help patients see how their GP surgery is performing, allowing them to compare rankings with other GP practices in their area.
Across the country, the majority of patients described their overall experience of their GP practice as ‘very good’ (44%) or ‘fairly good’ (31%).
Here we reveal the GP practices in West Yorkshire which were voted the best by you. Surgeries are ranked by the proportion of patients who said their overall experience was ‘very good’.
1. Longroyde Surgery - Rastrick, Brighouse

There were 345 survey forms sent out to patients at Drighlington Medical Centre in Drighlington. The response rate was 38%, with 131 patients rating their overall experience. Of these, 84% said it was very good and 15% said it was fairly good. | Google Maps
3. Cherry Tree Surgery - Batley
There were 437 survey forms sent out to patients at Cherry Tree Surgery in Batley. The response rate was 27%, with 118 patients rating their overall experience. Of these, 76% said it was very good and 15% said it was fairly good. | Google Maps
4. Springfield Surgery - Kingsway, Bingley
There were 332 survey forms sent out to patients at Springfield Surgery in Kingsway, Bingley. The response rate was 39%, with 127 patients rating their overall experience. Of these, 75% said it was very good and 16% said it was fairly good. | Google Maps
5. Oaklands Health Centre - Thongsbridge
There were 342 survey forms sent out to patients at Oaklands Health Centre in Thongsbridge. The response rate was 39%, with 134 patients rating their overall experience. Of these, 74% said it was very good and 21% said it was fairly good. | Google Maps
