Leeds Rhinos shirt raises huge sum for Rob Burrow MND centre in Leeds
The special-edition shirt has raised thousands for the centre
A Leeds Rhinos MND awareness shirt has raised more than £34,000 for a specialist centre treating people with motor neurone disease.
OXEN Sports has donated £34,070 to Leeds Hospitals Charity following sales of the 2026 Leeds Rhinos MND Awareness Shirt.
The special-edition shirt was worn by the Rhinos during their annual MND awareness fixture and was created to raise money for the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease in Leeds.

The latest donation will help fund specialist care, equipment, family support and research projects at the centre, which opened its doors in November 2025.
The 2026 shirt features artwork inspired by Cath Muir, who died from MND in June.
It incorporates the blue cornflower, a symbol of resilience within the MND community, and was designed to recognise people living with the disease, as well as their families and loved ones.
Since 2020, Leeds Rhinos' annual MND awareness shirts have raised more than £250,000 for MND charities.
Last year's shirt raised £82,000 towards the appeal to build the Rob Burrow Centre, named after the former Leeds Rhinos star who was diagnosed with MND in 2019 and died in June 2024.
The latest donation continues the partnership between Leeds Rhinos, OXEN Sports and Leeds Hospitals Charity.
Esther Wakeman, chief executive of Leeds Hospitals Charity, said: “We would like to say a big thank you to our friends at OXEN Sports and Leeds Rhinos for continuing to support us.
“We're also hugely grateful to everyone who purchased a shirt.
“The money raised will help us ensure that the centre can adapt to the needs of patients and their families in the future and also expand the care on offer.
“This includes funding things like additional equipment, family support services, holistic therapies and new research programmes.”
