NHS Trust announces increase to car park prices at Pinderfields, Pontefract and Dewsbury Hospitals
The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust has announced an increase in car parking costs across their three sites.
From April 20, visitor car parking charges at the Trust’s three hospital sites, Pinderfields, Pontefract and Dewsbury, will increase by 3.4 per cent.

The Trust has shared that the increase is due to inflation and reflects "the continually rising costs of maintaining safe, accessible parking facilities”.
Short visits under 20 minutes will remain free of charge and all current concessions will continue – including free parking for Blue Badge holders and discounted rates for frequent hospital attenders.
A spokesperson for the Trust said: “Our aim is to avoid reductions in direct patient care and whilst we understand that any increase in cost is never popular, the decision was made with those using our hospitals in mind and improving the experience they receive as much as possible.
“Making small changes in non-clinical areas, such as parking, helps us to protect frontline services and we appreciate your understanding”.
