For many patients who find themselves unwell, the GP surgery is the first place they go. Often described as the “front door” of the NHS, it offers diagnosis, treatment and onward referrals to specialists.
The experience you have with your GP can make a big difference to your healthcare, with patients in Leeds having their say on their surgery’s performance in the new GP Patient Survey, produced by Ipsos on behalf of NHS England.
More than 650,000 patients in England completed the 2026 survey, which was carried out between January and April this year.
It gathers information on how patients feel about their local GP, including how they rate their overall experience and the performance of reception teams.
In the survey, patients were asked questions about their last appointment - including whether they felt their needs were met.
Across the country, the majority of patients felt their needs were ‘definitely’ met (58%) or met ‘to some extent’ (32%).
Here, we reveal the surgeries in Leeds where patients’ needs are best met. Surgeries are ranked by the proportion of patients who said their needs were ‘definitely’ met during their last visit.
