11 local pubs and bars Yorkshire Evening Post readers tell us are still the cheapest for a pint

With the average price of a pint continuing to climb, finding a proper Leeds bargain has become a tactical mission.

In a year where a round of drinks can often feel like a major financial investment, there is a unique satisfaction in getting plenty of change from a five-pound note.

While the "fancy" craft bars have their place, sometimes you just want a well-kept pint in a place that knows the value of a pound.

Of course, we have to give a nod to Tish Morris, who, like some of us in the newsroom, suggested that a pint of water is the biggest bargain of them all.

I’m all for a soda and lime too, Tish - but there is always that nagging feeling you’re being cheated during a round when everyone else is on the craft ales!

We’ve checked in with some of the best reviewers that we know - you, the readers of the Yorkshire Evening Post - and have been provided with several options for the cheapest pint in the city.

We’ve not included every Wetherspoons in the area either - though we might have highlighted one.
