Crown Restaurant, Leeds: Popular Chinese buffet restaurant announces reopening with new location and new menu
A much-loved Chinese buffet restaurant in Yorkshire which closed down last year has announced it is set to reopen next week.
Crown Restaurant in Leeds city centre, which was popular for its all-you-can-eat offering, announced its closure on its website and Facebook page in summer 2024, and thanked customers for their support in its 17 years of being open.
In the announcement, the owners said they were hoping to reopen at a new location in the first quarter of 2025.
However, nothing was forthcoming until Thursday (Nov 27) when it was announced on the Facebook page it would be reopening in Moortown next month, with a new dim sum restaurant.
In the Facebook post, the owners said: “G-Woo is proud to announce a Dim Sum menu!
“We will be opening from Sunday, December 7, 2025. Our opening times will be from 11:30am to 5pm everyday apart from Thursdays.

“As a welcome, for the first two weeks, we will be offering 20% off your dim sum. Come down and enjoy our dimsum.”
When excited fans responded saying they have been waiting ages for the news of the reopening, the owners replied that the new address will be 300 Harrogate Road, Moortown, Leeds, LS17 6LY.
As part of their previous buffet offering, Crown previously served dim sum which will feature in their new restaurant. It is yet to be confirmed whether the new restaurant will offer a buffet menu.
