The cult-favourite Bombay café has revealed exclusive Leeds-only menu items ahead of its highly anticipated August opening and collaboration with Northern Monk

Foodies of Leeds, the wait is almost over.

Reservations have officially opened today for Dishoom’s first-ever Yorkshire café, which is set to open its doors on Vicar Lane this August.

Located at 68-78 Vicar Lane - perfectly positioned between the Victoria Gate and Victoria Quarter shopping centres - the new café will serve up Dishoom’s beloved signature dishes alongside three brand-new creations exclusive to Leeds.

Among the exclusive creations debuting in the city is a brand-new Malvani Lamb Curry: inspired by the bold, coastal flavours of the Konkan coast of Maharashtra, the dish features tender leg of lamb slow-cooked with roasted coconut, warming cardamom, fragrant chillies, turmeric, and pippali pepper - served with golden, flaky Laccha Paratha and a sharp onion salad.

To wash it down, Dishoom has teamed up with Leeds’ very own local brewing giants, Northern Monk, to create Kohra IPA.

Brewed specifically to pair with Dishoom's bold Bombay flavours, the beer is a crisp, easy-drinking West Coast session IPA with lively notes of citrus, pine, and bright zest.

The third Leeds-exclusive is Samir's Vice, a sophisticated twist on the classic Miami Vice cocktail: this elegant drink combines Takamaka Seychelles Rum Blanc with pineapple and strawberry, clarified through coconut milk and finished with cardamom bitters and a dehydrated pineapple wheel.

These Leeds-only specials will sit alongside the legendary menu that made Dishoom a household name across the UK.

Diners can look forward to the iconic Bacon Naan Roll and traditional house chai at breakfast, as well as signature sharing plates, grills, and biryanis later in the day.

This, of course, includes the world-famous House Black Daal, which is patiently simmered for 24 hours to achieve its signature rich, dark flavour.

Local foodies can also look forward to a massive 50% off food soft launch from August 3, ahead of its official opening on August 14.

Speaking about the upcoming Leeds launch, Arun Kumar, Executive Chef at Dishoom, said: "Every Dishoom menu tells the story of Bombay through its food. For Leeds, we wanted to celebrate the dishes our guests return for time and again, while creating a handful of new ones that belong especially to this café.

“Like the Irani cafés that inspired us, we hope this becomes a place where people gather often over breakfast, for family feasts, or simply because there is time for one more cup of chai."

How to book at Dishoom Leeds
