'This was my favourite': Food YouTuber tries every Kirkgate Market food stall before tipping business £200
‘I am terrible at deciding what to order, so today I'm not going to decide, they are’
A food YouTuber has visited every food stall at Leeds Kirkgate Market and handed over a £200 tip after letting traders decide what he ate.
Jono Yates, who runs food and travel channel Only Scrans, visited the market for a video titled “I Asked Every Food Stall To ‘Surprise Me’”, published on YouTube on Sunday (September 27).

For the challenge, Yates asked each stall to choose his food without telling them what he liked or disliked.
He also asked each trader to recommend where he should eat next, creating a trail through the market.
“I am terrible at deciding what to order, so today I'm not going to decide, they are,” he said at the start of the video.
“There are three very simple rules. I can't tell them what I like or don't like, and I have to eat whatever they give me, no matter what it is.”
The challenge got off to a difficult start when his first choice, Maxi's Rotisserie, turned out to be cash-only and Yates realised he had not brought his card for the cash machine.
He eventually began his food trail at Jenny's Jerk Chicken before being sent around the market by other traders.
Among the dishes he tried was a pork banh mi from Bánh & Mee, which he described as “easily the best food I've had so far” at that point.
But it was a meal from Mr Mackerel that ultimately topped his scores.
Yates was given wings with rice and salad, as well as the mackerel the stall is known for and lentil soup.
He awarded the meal 8.2 out of 10 and said it was his favourite of the day.
“This has done that for me,” he said, explaining that the food reminded him of “really, really good Turkish food that I've had with friends”.
After finishing the challenge, Yates returned to Mr Mackerel to tell the staff it had been his favourite stop.
“This was my favourite,” he said, before asking if he could tip the food stall £200.
The surprised staff member replied: “Bro, come on. That's insane. Are you sure?”
“Yeah, of course,” Yates replied.
Yates also opened up during the video about his experience making food videos, revealing that he has ADHD and can struggle with overthinking and social anxiety.
