We’re approaching the halfway point of 2026, so today we’re taking a look at how Leeds’ local chippies have fared in their food hygiene inspections.
Food hygiene ratings are awarded by the Food Standards Agency following inspections of restaurants, pubs, cafes, takeaways and other food businesses.
Ratings range from zero to five, with a score of five meaning hygiene standards are considered ‘very good’. A rating of one means ‘major improvement is necessary’.
