Each year, the Michelin Guide highlights the very best places to eat across the UK, with the coveted Michelin Star regarded as one of the highest honours in the restaurant world. This year, the ceremony was held in Dublin on Monday, February 9.
Leeds has been without a Michelin Star since the closure of Michael O’Hare’s The Man Behind the Curtain in 2023. However, the city - and the surrounding area - continues to be recognised, with several restaurants featured in the latest Guide.
Below is the full list of restaurants in and around Leeds included in the 2026 Michelin Guide, including a new Star recipient.

1. Ox Club
Ox Club, run by head chef Tom Hunter, is an "unpretentious" restaurant in Headrow House. The Michelin Guide said: "Utilising fire and smoke to enhance quality produce is the name of the game – with the 1kg côte de boeuf on hand if you're feeling flush – but the kitchen isn't afraid of adding in bold flavours too". | YEP Photo: James Hardisty

2. emba
Michelin Star hopeful emba recently announced it will be closing its doors in the near future. But until then, the Michelin Star hopeful remains on the Guide. Michelin praised its sharing menu, put together by experienced chef and restauranteur Elizabeth Cottam. | James Hardisty

6. Shibden Mill Inn
Shibden Mill Inn in Halifax is a former corn mill, offering delicious and hearty dishes made by using Yorkshire produce.
