Michelin Guide Ceremony LIVE: Updates and watch here as 2026 Michelin Stars awarded
The Michelin Guide Ceremony for the UK and Ireland 2026 will take place at on Monday 9th February in Dublin. We are here to bring you news as it happens with new Michelin Stars announced at the event, attended by the biggest names in hospitality.
The Michelin Guide is one of the most prestigious restaurant guides in the world. It awards up to three Michelin stars - regarded as the highest standard in fine dining - to restaurants demonstrating exceptional quality, consistency and culinary creativity. The guide also highlights excellent value restaurants with Bib Gourmand distinctions and recognises sustainability leadership through Green Stars. We will be telling the story of this year’s ceremony across Iconic Media’s network of local news websites to celebrate hospitality success stories.
We will bring you live updates before, during and after the event in Dublin, attended by the best chefs in the UK and Ireland. The event, which is broadcast globally online, brings together the top restaurants for the announcement of Michelin Stars and other distinctions.
A single star means "high-quality cooking, worth a stop"; two stars signify "excellent cooking, worth a detour"; and three stars represent "exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey," a distinction awarded to the best restaurants in the world.
Michelin Stars are awarded to restaurants offering “outstanding cooking”. Michelin inspectors take into account five universal criteria: ingredient quality, harmony of flavours, the mastery of culinary techniques, how the chef’s personality shines through their cuisine and consistency across the entire menu and over time: “An incredible meal could be a one-off experience. We’re after those restaurants that deliver the same standard every time.”
Updates will continue on Monday 9th February in the buildup to the ceremony and throughout the event itself. We will be celebrating local hospitality success stories with coverage across our network of news titles in the UK and Ireland.
