To celebrate National Cream Tea Day this Friday, we have rounded up 15 of the highest-rated places to enjoy a traditional afternoon treat across Leeds.
The day, celebrated on the last Friday in June, is an annual food celebration dedicated to the traditional British treat of scones topped with clotted cream and jam, served alongside a pot of tea. Anyone with a sweet tooth and a kettle can take part, whether at home, in a tea room, or at a community event.
The annual celebration is run by the Cream Tea Society, a community set up by clotted cream producer Rodda's and jam manufacturer Tiptree.
The day also doubles as a major charity drive, encouraging people across the country to host their own events and donate to causes close to their hearts.
To celebrate the occasion this Friday, we have rounded up 15 of the highest-rated places (according to Tripadvisor and Google Reviews) to enjoy a traditional afternoon treat across Leeds. From tucked-away village tea rooms in the suburbs to magnificent city centre staples like the Tiled Hall Café inside Leeds Art Gallery, our corner of the county is packed with fantastic options for food lovers.
Only question is now: cream before jam or afterwards?
