New café selling freshly baked cakes opens in Morley, Leeds

A café selling freshly baked cakes has opened in south Leeds.

Lilos Cakery, located on New Park Street, Morley, opened on Friday, September 4.

Featuring indoor and outdoor seating, the new opening offers freshly baked cakes every day from a revolving menu including Biscoff Blondies, Cinnamon Buns and Rolo Brownies.

Posting to Facebook after opening day, the independent business said: “I really was not expecting to be as busy as we were. We sold out hundreds of bakes in just over two hours and don’t get me started on the coffees.

“I didn’t get chance to turn around or speak to many of you but just know from the bottom of my heart I am so grateful.”

Located near Morley’s Dartmouth Park, the independent dog-friendly business has been an early hit with locals, who have praised its mouth-watering selection of cakes.

Lilos Cakery will be open 8.30am to 4pm on Thursday-Friday, and 9am to 2pm at weekends.
