Sticks'n'Sushi: New Japanese restaurant to open in Leeds city centre

The best of food from the land of the Rising Sun is heading to Leeds city centre.

Sticks'n'Sushi is to join the heritage-led Vicar Lane regeneration scheme with the opening of its 18th UK restaurant in early 2027.

The three-storey building will include an expansive 220-cover dining room, 30-cover terrace and an upstairs bar with private hire space.

SticksʹnʹSushi credits its success to its people - a team built on “big smiles, small egos,” and says the new eaterie at 80 Vicar Lane will create 60 new jobs.

Available à la carte or in generous set menus, for dine in and takeaway, guests can expect sharing dishes of sushi, sashimi, salads and grilled sticks. Highlights include the Temaki Setto, DIY sushi handrolls with lobster, wagyu tartare and avocado, and the Maki Maki selection of four signature rolls. From the grill, the infamous Gindara No Miso, miso-glazed black cod and Shōyu Tebasaki, chicken wings marinated in garlic, ginger, tamari and soy remain firm favourites.
