North Leeds Food Festival returns to Roundhay Park in May 2025 for ‘biggest event to date’

The annual North Leeds Food Festival is back.

After three consecutive record breaking years, The North Leeds Food Festival is set to return to Roundhay Park on May 10 and 11 2025.

This is the festival’s ninth annual celebration of international influence, global foods, and performing arts and organisers are ready for it to be the biggest North Leeds Food Festival yet.

Event director Michael Johnston said: “We have had three record breaking years in a row, thanks to the incredible support from our attendees.

“Living a five-minute walk away from Roundhay Park, this event is very special to us, so we’re eager to continue improving everything we have to offer.

“With such popularity comes challenges to accommodate thousands of attendees arriving each hour.

“In 2025 we’ll be implementing bigger marquees and new systems to fast track attendees into the event. We’ll also be increasing the number of food and drink traders for our biggest event to date.”

Brand-new systems and attractions are being introduced to create a unique experience for festival-goers.

A new fast track entry system will be implemented to speed up access to the festival. Additionally, the festival’s cornerstone attractions are being re-imagined with exciting updates and enhanced line-ups.

The Street Food Arena, previously host to more than 30 different street food and dessert traders, will feature its widest range of global foods yet.

Complementing this will be a wider selection of independent bars, including a brand-new North Brew Co Ale House.

Organisers are excited to reintroduce the Artisan Markets, which this year featured more than 100 different independent traders and local businesses.

Whilst the full details of new attractions are yet to be announced, among these changes is the debut of a “Foodie Olympics”, designed to engage festival-goers in an interactive and fun afternoon.

The Live Music Stage will showcase the region’s top local talent, alongside new tribute acts headlining each evening of the event.

The Live Cookery Theatre invites attendees to learn the secrets of culinary excellence, welcoming some of Yorkshire’s best chefs to perform live demonstrations throughout the afternoon.

Families can look forward to the live entertainers stage, featuring magic and circus Shows and performing arts.

Further attractions will include free kids activities, roaming comedy acts, art displays, a fun fair and inflatable land and more.

In partnership with Leeds Mind, the event aims to surpass the £127,000 already raised in continued support of mental health initiatives across the north.

Early Bird tickets are currently on sale. For more information, visit the official website.
