13 first-look pictures inside San Carlo Flying Pizza in Roundhay after Leeds restaurant's £2m refurb

San Carlo Flying Pizza has reopened following a £2million refurbishment.

The Roundhay restaurant, founded in Street Lane in 1974, has been transformed to mark its 50th anniversary.

Drawing inspiration from traditional Italian villas of Lake Como, the new décor includes terrazzo floors, a revamped bar and more bespoke artwork.

Marcello Distefano, CEO at San Carlo, said: “We hope that Flying Pizza will be around for another 50 years. We might not be here, but hopefully, someone else will continue to look after the restaurant and its heritage.”
