Saudi-style fried chicken chain Broaster Club opens in Leeds city centre
A new fast-food café promising a “unique, Saudi-style fried chicken experience” has opened in Leeds city centre.
Broaster Club has launched on New Briggate this week, bringing “Broaster” chicken to the city for the first time.
Broaster is a style of pressure-fried chicken that is popular in Saudi Arabia. The cooking method is designed to create a crisp coating while sealing in moisture.

In a statement announcing the opening, a spokesperson said: “Broaster chicken is pressure-fried to create maximum crunch while sealing in the juices, delivering bold flavour that truly hits different.
“The recipe has been directly imported from Saudi Arabia, ensuring an authentic taste that stands apart from traditional fried chicken offerings in the UK.”
Broaster Club was founded by three young entrepreneurs who operate several food outlets in Saudi Arabia. The company said opening in Leeds had been a long-held ambition for the trio, who wanted to bring “a taste of home” to the city’s food scene.
The menu includes its signature Broaster chicken, as well as Broaster prawns, wraps, burgers and a range of sides.
Among the more distinctive items is its “infused chicken” — described by the company as a UK first — which features chicken injected with sauces before cooking.
The founders said they are “excited to welcome the people of Leeds” and introduce a style of fried chicken “combining crunch, juiciness and Middle Eastern flavour”.
