Souvlaki Corner to open new Greek restaurant and takeaway in Morley, Leeds next month
A new Greek restaurant and takeaway is set to open in south Leeds.
Souvlaki Corner, which has become a fan favourite in nearby Wortley, is set to open its new and expanded site on Queen Street, Morley next month.
Known for its authentic Greek street food, the new Souvlaki Corner will be a larger space with plenty of seating, offering both dine-in and takeaway options, as well as a bar.
The YEP understands that the site is targeting an April opening, although an exact date will be confirmed closer to the launch.
“Since launching our first location, the response from customers has been fantastic, and Morley felt like the natural next step as we continue to grow,” a company spokesperson said.
“We’re really looking forward to becoming part of the Morley community and welcoming both new customers and those who already know us from our existing site.”
One of the highlights of the new restaurant will be a traditional Greek spit where we will cook whole lamb in the proper Greek way. It will be cooked over charcoal to give the authentic Greek flavour that people would experience in Greece.
Originating from Greece themselves, the chef’s will bring their authentic knowledge and experience of their homeland. The interior design will also reflect the style of the Greek islands, so when people visit they will feel like they are stepping into a little part of Greece.
Souvlaki Corner was created to bring authentic Greek street food to Leeds, focusing on freshly grilled souvlaki, gyros, and traditional flavours served quickly and affordably.
