Wetherspoons confirms discounted food and drink in January sale - full list of participating pubs in Leeds

As we welcome a brand-new year, many of us may be looking to save money following an indulgent Christmas.

In January, many establishments, from retail stores to restaurants, offer money-saving discounts, which help us cut down on costs in the first month of the year.

Pub giant JD Wetherspoons has announced that it is one of the places offering a ‘sale’ in January, as it slashes the prices of selected food and drinks across its pubs.

From Friday January 2 to Thursday January 15, 14 Wetherspoons pubs in and around Leeds will be reducing the prices of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as certain meals.

Alcoholic drinks included in the sale are; Worthington’s beer (£1.49 per pint), Coldwater Creek Wine (£3.49 per 250ml glass), Johnnie Walker Black Label and Tanqueray London Dry Gin (each £2.49 per 25ml with a mixer).

Low and non-alcoholic drinks include; Guinness 0.0%, Corona Cero, Brewdog Punk AF, Stella Artois Alcohol Free, Erdinger Isotonic, Thatchers Zero, Koppaberg Alcohol Free, Gordons 0.0 Pink Gin - each priced at £2.19. Beck’s Blue and Sanpellegrino Aranciata Rossa are available for 99p each.

For those who enjoy Wetherspoons’ delicious pub grub, a selection of meals will also be at a reduced price.

Dishes in the sale include: an 11-inch Margherita Pizza or a Chicken Burger, served with chips or side salad for £5.49 each with a soft drink, or £7.02 with an alcoholic drink.

Jacket potatoes are also included in the sale, with the choice of a filling including tuna mayo, coleslaw, chilli bean non-carne, cheese, baked beans or roasted vegetables. The jacket potato will cost £6.99 with a soft drink or £8.52 with an alcoholic drink. An extra filling or side salad can be added for an extra 99p.

A brand-new addition to Wetherspoons’ menu is ‘Gourmet Jacket Potatoes’, which include The Loaded Spud, The Mexican Spud, and The Smoky Spud.

The gourmet jacket potatoes have also been included in the sale. The range will be priced at £8.49 with a soft drink and £10.02 with an alcoholic drink.
