With the sun still shining down on us in Leeds, and we finally start to make our way out of the house after a particularly biting winter, no doubt the first thing on many locals’ minds is: what on earth has happened to my garden?
Welcome, budding green thumbs, to the time of year when a spring clean doesn’t just mean inside, but outside too.
Ideal then that not only is it perfect planting weather, but National Gardening Week officially kicks off this Monday (April 27), so even more reason to start repotting those plants and pruning those trees.
So, where are we going to get our essential supplies this springtime? Only one way to find out - asking for suggestions from you, the readers of the Yorkshire Evening Post, on our Facebook page - and you gave us some stunning options.
From humble cacti to mighty monkey plants, here are 11 garden centres that Leeds locals swear by for their green thumbing needs.

1. Fields Garden Centre
A massive favourite for families, Fields was praised by Margaret Harte Stevens for its "fab café/restaurant as well as outdoor space for children."
