Taylor Wimpey launches new development in Wetherby
Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire has announced the launch of its new gas-free development, Swinnow Park, in Wetherby, which will deliver 762 homes.
Swinnow Park, in Racecourse Approach, will provide a collection of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom properties with all homes benefitting from a new community heat hub, a zero carbon network which heats all homes without the use of gas.
In addition to the community heat hub, homes in Phase One will also benefit from triple glazing, EV charging points, wastewater heat recovery and thermal door and window lintels, designed to reduce heat loss. The property designs will also create three distinct character areas within the development.
Swinnow Park, located opposite Wetherby Racecourse, will also be home to open green space for the community to enjoy, including areas of maintained and wild planting, plus play areas. The open space will also feature footpaths, cycleways, a nature reserve, community orchards and a residents’ allotment.

Lucinda Dickens, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire said: “We’re delighted to be providing a great choice of highly energy-efficient homes within the Wetherby community at this innovative development.
“A new build home provides many benefits, including energy efficiency, modern features, lower maintenance costs and warranties.”
Swinnow Park is located within the heart of Yorkshire’s ‘Golden Triangle’ between Leeds, York and Harrogate. Designed to blend with existing landscape features, the Sandbeck Corridor will also provide an area of open space following the Sand Beck through the centre of the development.
