The 13 Leeds postcodes where house prices are falling fastest, as property values tumble

Some areas are weathering the storm better than others

House prices across the UK have suffered their biggest August fall since 2018, new figures show, with Leeds proving no exception.

The latest Rightmove House Price Index shows that the average asking price of newly-listed properties across Britain dropped by £7,360, or 2.0%, this month.

According to the estate agent comparison website GetAgent, the average asking price for a home in Leeds has fallen by 1.6%, to £288,819.

But the picture varies considerably across the city.

While none of the 29 postcode areas across Leeds recorded a rise in house prices, asking prices in the LS2 district fell by 3.9%, compared with just 0.7% in LS21, and 1.0% in LS11.

Below are the Leeds neighbourhoods with the biggest percentage fall in asking prices, according to GetAgent, which uses data from major online property portals, the Land Registry, and its own database.
