The huge wealth divide within Leeds is laid bare by statistics showing the average household income in neighbourhoods across the city.
The average household in Leeds’ richest area earns £63,800 a year, compared with just £27,500 in the city’s poorest neighbourhood.
Across the UK as a whole, the gap is even bigger, with the highest average household income of £108,100 in London’s affluent Clapham Common West neighbourhood being almost five times the £22,200 average in the North East Lincolnshire neighbourhood of Grimsby East Marsh & Port.
Below are the 21 richest areas of Leeds based on the average household income, according to the latest data from the Propertistics website.
