While many of us faithful reporters are duty-bound to the newsroom in this beaming sunshine, for everyone else, the last few days of half-term offer another chance to get out and about.
It's also the perfect excuse to find something new for the kids to do - especially if you've somehow already had your fill of the brilliant Explore festival happening across Leeds Heritage Theatres this week.
Although we have made our choices before, we instead threw it open to readers of the Yorkshire Evening Post Facebook page to ask their recommendations on where to go for a walk this week with the dog, while the weather is still good.
Admittedly, we wouldn’t recommend walking your dog down Briggate despite one or two suggestions; some of the faithful green spaces of Leeds have once again been suggested, along with one or two hidden gems.
So, where should you be going with your canine companion to meet other dog-walkers?
Here’s your list of nine locations for the ideal dog walk this spring.

1. Roundhay Park
The undisputed champion of the comments. With over 700 acres of parkland, lakes, and woodland, it is no surprise that multiple readers, including Sarah Vickers, specifically recommended taking the dogs "round the lake and in the woods." It is a Leeds classic for a reason. | James Hardisty
2. Temple Newsam
Recommended by Leanne Clarkson, this magnificent Tudor-Jacobean estate offers endless rolling hills and beautifully landscaped grounds. With hundreds of acres to explore, you can easily spend hours here without doing the same loop twice, making it a paradise for energetic pups. | Gerard Binks
3. Golden Acre Park
Stephen Kitchen flagged this beloved North Leeds spot. Known for its beautiful circular lake walk and botanical gardens, it is a brilliant place for a scenic, paved stroll. Just bear in mind that dogs do need to be kept on leads in certain sensitive areas of the park. | Yorkshire Post Newspapers

4. Meanwood Park
A true hidden gem nestled in the suburbs, as suggested by James Brown. Meanwood Park is perfect for dogs who love splashing in the beck and exploring the woods. It also links up directly with the Meanwood Valley Trail if you fancy turning a quick stroll into a massive hike. | James Hardisty
5. Middleton Park
South Leeds’ finest green space, championed by Stefanie Precious. With over 600 acres of ancient woodland, an old railway line, and wide-open grassy areas, it is a brilliant and often quieter alternative to some of the city's busier parks. | YPN

6. Leeds Liverpool Canal
You don't always need a park to have a great walk; Anna Valenchevskaya recommended taking to the towpaths. The Leeds & Liverpool canal offers miles of fantastic, flat walking routes right out into the countryside, with plenty of dog-friendly pubs along the way for a pit stop. | Tony Johnson
