DogFest Leeds: Yorkshire dog owners reveal the surprising ways they spoil their pooches
It comes ahead of DogFest on the Farm at Harewood House in Leeds this month 🐶
Yorkshire dog owners are proving their four-legged friends really are part of the family, with new research revealing the lengths they go to pamper their pooches.

A whopping 72 per cent of owners say they celebrate their dog’s birthday with a dog-safe cake, while almost half cook special meals for their pets – with pancakes, scrambled eggs and even fresh chicken among the favourites.
New research shared by canine experts DogFest has revealed just how much Yorkshire owners love to pamper their pets.
The findings have been revealed ahead of DogFest on the Farm, which is returning to Harewood House on September 12 and 13, where thousands of dog lovers are expected to gather for a weekend packed with canine-friendly fun.
Sam Matthews, marketing director for DogFest said: “We’ve been celebrating the bond between owner and pet for years, so it’s no surprise to us just how dedicated people are to their dogs – but we’re very pleasantly surprised by just how many people are keen to mark their pet’s birthday.
“DogFest is all about celebrating the relationship we have with our canine companions, and it’s great to see that Yorkshire agrees that they’re truly part of the family.”
